Tuff Stuff 230 AMP SSR Alternators

This is a GM AD244 alternator with a 230 amp current rating and a low idle cut-in regulator.

Fits all 2003-2006 Chevrolet SSRs, regardless of pulley style or transmission type.

Features a stealth black, polished aluminum or chrome finish.

Includes all standard connections to the OEM wiring harness.

The “basic configuration” has the upgraded 6 groove clutch pulley which allows the serpentine belt to turn the alternator in one direction, but allows it to “free-wheel” and spin at its own speed when the engine suddenly decelerates (like a snappy 1st to 2nd automatic shift at full throttle).

 As always, each alternator is made in the USA and Tuff-Tested to exceed industry standards.

All alternators have a 1 year Tuff Stuff warranty plus an additional Simple Engineering 1 year extension of that warranty.
