We acquired all of the possible substitutes for the SSR ignition switch and tore them apart, looking at the construction and quality. After analysis, we can say that there are two distinctly different groups of the aftermarket ignition switches for the SSR.
Our first choice for a replacement switch is the Echlin KS6254. It is identical in all aspects to the (now discontinued) AC Delco/GM D1426D switch.
The “NAPA Solutions NOE 60036831 is identical to the Dorman 924-715. These two will do in a pinch, but the Echlin switch remains our favorite.
Fits all year models, 2003 – 2006 Chevy SSRs.
