SSR Urethane Front and Rear Control Arm Bushings

Prothane’s polyurethane front control arm bushings will maintain the front end alignment better than the OEM rubber. There is also a direct improvement in handling performance.  Steering will become more precise and there will be less tendency for vehicle “wander” on the highway.

Prothane’s polyurethane rear control arm bushings improve rear axle tracking. It will become more precise and there will be less tendency for vehicle “wander” on the highway or “kick out” when diving into a corner.

It must be noted that with a firmer bushing there will be a slight increase in NVH (noise, vibration and harshness).

An order is for a complete set, either front or rear. Both the red and black urethane bushings are identical in formula.  Historically, red is preferred for racing applications, since a flaw (or crack) in the urethane will be much more visible.

Replacement instructions are simple. Just get the old bushings pressed out (front uppers get melted out in order to retain the shell in the arm) and you can then insert the new ones.
