These “Made in the USA”, black powder-coated rear coil springs will drop the rear of your SSR 1.25 to 1.5 inches at the wheel well opening. The spring is designed for a consistently smooth ride for both small and large suspension travel. They actually ride better than any other spring on the market.
Because of the spring design, you DO NOT need to change the rear shock absorbers. These are the same overall “free” length as the OEM rear springs and work with any standard length SSR rear shocks. I highly recommend the “Sport” Bilsteins for the SSR offered here as an option.
When installing these springs, you must either cut the OEM bump stops (GM calls them “Auxiliary Spring”) – – or – – purchase a pair of the SE-10386222 modified bump stops offered here as an option. This is a “MUST DO” thing. If you do not trim the bump stops, or replace them with new modified bump stops your SSR will be bouncing against them and ride terribly.
To make your installation go smoothly, I also recommend replacing your worn 15765071 spring isolators. OEM bump stops deteriorate over time and should be replaced as well. New ones are also offered here as an option.
As always, if you are unhappy with this product for any reason, simply return it and I will refund your purchase…. no questions asked.
The springs and optional parts are sold in pairs only. Place an order for “1” to receive a pair of each item.
Lower springs shipping weight is about 23 pounds.
