LST Hood Support Struts

For the 2003-04 SSR:

LST is the original aftermarket supplier of the 2003-2004 Hood Strut retrofit kit.  This kit was fashioned directly from the original OEM retrofit brackets that GM offered in 2006.  These smooth operating struts will eliminate the need for the hood prop rod….. When opening the hood, these struts will actually take the hood out of your hands as you get it about half way open.

The brackets install in the same location as the ’05-’06 factory brackets.  Typical installation time is 15-30 minutes.

These will provide you with the convenience of an assisted hood lift and the safety of a fixed support system.  All brackets are electro-polished stainless steel.  They can easily be painted to match your truck.

For the 2005-06 SSR:

These smooth operating struts are an exact replacement for the Black OEM hood struts.

They are designed to gently take the hood from your hands and lift it smoothly, once the hood is about one third open.  The operation is smoother and more consistent than the OEM struts.

Simple Engineering Warranty (no charge exchange) period is 2 years.
