These 437mm black struts will always lift your lid. The original length on the “new style” struts was 407mm (eye to eye) and the additional 30mm length will actually open your lid approximately 2.5″ higher than the originals.
Note that these are the 437mm length struts that are only compatible with the newer style SSR deck lid hinges that have the lower pivot point moved forward and down on a welded bracket. They are not compatible with the older hinges that have the lower attachment point in line with the bottom edge of the hinge bracket.
Be sure that the overall length of your existing struts are about 17″. If your struts are 15.25″ long, you need to order the ones for the original style hinges….. not these.
